Privacy policy

StegoBench runs inside your browser. This page explains what that means for your data.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no server component, no account, no analytics and no advertising. Your images, messages, passphrases and results are processed in your browser tab and are never sent anywhere.

What stays on your device

The page saves two small preferences in your browser's local storage: your light or dark theme, and the width of the dashboard sidebar. You can clear them at any time from your browser settings. Images and results are held in memory and disappear when you close or reload the tab.

Third parties

The site loads no external scripts, fonts or trackers. JPEG and WebP attacks use the image encoders built into your browser.

Links to other sites

The LinkedIn links next to the developers' names on the home page lead to their profiles. They open another website only when you click them, and that site has its own privacy policy.

Downloads

When you download a stego image or a report, the file is created locally and saved by your browser. We never see it.

If this ever changes, this page will be updated and the date above will change with it.
